Tencent Q3 Revenue Surpasses Estimates Fueled by Gaming and AI Growth
Tencent Holdings Ltd. reported a 15% year-over-year revenue increase to 192.9 billion yuan ($27.08 billion) for Q3 2025, exceeding analyst expectations of 188.9 billion yuan. The Chinese tech giant's performance was driven by robust gaming growth and strategic AI investments.
Domestic gaming revenue ROSE 15% to 42.8 billion yuan while international gaming sales jumped 43% to 20.8 billion yuan, powered by popular titles including 'Honor of Kings' and 'Delta Force'. Net profit climbed 19% to 63.1 billion yuan, significantly outpacing the 55.9 billion yuan consensus estimate.
The company's AI initiatives bore fruit as advertising revenue grew 21% to 36.2 billion yuan, benefiting from enhanced targeting capabilities. Tencent's AI chatbot Yuanbao reached 32 million monthly active users in September, securing third place among China's AI applications.
